Empire Archers Available on Ebay!

Holy Crap in a Pita!

Two posts in one day!?!?!

Next up on the chopping block is my small group of 6 Imperial Archers:

They came mostly from the old Empire Militia box set, with a few heads from the Empire Halberdiers box

These figures turned out really nice looking, just wish I would've painted more of them!
But most of the figures ended up in the hand to hand units.  They will be next up for sale.

Much like the others, I do really like these figures, but I have to make room if I am going to justify more figures!

Anyway, here is the link:

Enjoy!!

Selling My Empire Figures

Due to bad financial times and a need to make room for other more imperative projects, I have decided to sell off my old Warhammer  stuff.

I still really like these figures and they were so much fun to paint, since my renewed interest in 28mm figures, I have gone fully historical now, and true scale rather that heroic. So my old Warhammer Fantasy and 40K figures from back in the 90's are just in boxes stored away.

Maybe it is time for someone else to enjoy them.

I thought I should start with my one of my favorites first. Get most painful over with first..
My Imperial Halberds.   Instead of following any Imperial heraldry and color schemes, I just painted them in colors I liked.

I really love the yellow and black and green with the red accents.  I really have no idea if it corresponds with anything from the Warhammer Fantasy rules.  I have never been much of a gamer, even back then, but I really loved these figures and had to paint them!

I really love these figures in particular, the old school Empire figures from the 90's!

These older GW plastic figures certainly were a blast to put together and paint!
The Command figure.  Not quite sure why I ended up with no standard bearer or musician.

These will be posted on Ebay for sale sometime this weekend.

Swiss Handgunners

Hello once again!  Just thought I would show off a few more of my finished and based Swiss army, this time with some handgunners.  These two groups are painted to represent Uri and Solothurn:

First the fellows from Uri:

the guy waving at us is a minor conversion.

 Now a few from Solothurn:

For some reason it seemed like I had a lot more of these handgunners (still have two more unpainted), but I realized that it was the crossbowmen that dominate the missile weapons groups.

Up next will probably be more of the Pike block, but probably something other than Bernese troops this time, maybe some Zurich or Schwyz colors this next time around.

I have about 100 or so figures painted already, but they're not based yet and the pikes are unpainted were applicable.  I really regret not finishing them now that I've let so many get up to 95% completed, and now I am stuck just doing the finishing work and little else.

Live and learn, or just repeat the same mistakes.. Either way, I am still loving it!

Finally some finished Swiss Pikemen!

I finally got around to basing and putting the finishing touches on the first part of my Pikemen representing Bern.

I took liberties with some of the colors, with a little too much yellow and teal green, but the colors just looked too good together  with the red and black and I got carried away.  I keep trying to paint more and more figures without any color uniformity as I continue this project, but I thought Bern should have a good number of men in colors.

Next on the list to be based will probably be some crossbows or handgunners, to give me a break from painting pikes.
Enjoy!
